What I keep, and what I won't.

A short, plain-language note about how Kin Stories collects, uses and protects your data. Written by Julia, not a legal team — I want you to actually read it.

i.

Who I am.

I am Julia Kozyriatska, sole owner of Kin Stories — a wedding production studio based in Switzerland. I am the "data controller" responsible for any personal information you share with me through this site, the newsletter, or direct email.

Contact: juliia@kinstories.ch
Address: Schützenweg 5, Binningen, Switzerland.

If you have any question about your data — anything at all — write to me directly. I read every email myself.

ii.

What I collect.

I keep things small. Only what I genuinely need to be in conversation with you, and nothing more.

I do not collect — and never ask for — phone numbers through the website, payment information, government IDs, or anything about your guests. If a wedding moves forward together, I'll request specific information in person, by email, with your knowledge.

iii.

Why I keep any of it.

Two reasons only:

  1. To answer you. If you've emailed me about a wedding, I keep that thread so we can pick up the conversation where we left off.
  2. To send you the newsletter — once every six weeks, never more — if you've explicitly opted in by confirming your subscription. You can leave any time with one click.

Under GDPR and Swiss data protection law (revDSG/nFADP), the legal basis for keeping your email is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you click the confirmation link in the welcome email. The basis for direct inquiry threads is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — responding to someone who has written to me about my work.

iv.

Who else sees it.

I work with a small set of trusted services. None of them sell or share your data. Each has its own privacy policy you can read.

I do not use any advertising trackers, third-party analytics platforms (no Meta Pixel, no Google Analytics), retargeting, or affiliate networks on this site.

v.

How long I keep it.

vi.

What you can ask of me.

Under GDPR and revDSG you have the right to:

Write to me at juliia@kinstories.ch for any of the above. I respond within five working days — usually within one.
vii.

Cookies, fonts, and the like.

This site does not set its own tracking cookies. It does load two small external resources to display itself:

No cookies are placed on your device by this site. If MailerLite places any when you interact with their links (open tracking, click tracking), that happens after you click into one of their emails, governed by their policy.

viii.

If anything changes.

If I meaningfully change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and put a note in the next newsletter — so you can read it, react, or unsubscribe with full knowledge of what shifted.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any change, however small.

ix.

One last thing.

Your email address is between us. I won't sell it, share it, lend it to a "partner brand", or use it for anything other than what's described here. That isn't a marketing line — it's the only way I want to run a business.

If anything in this document is unclear, or if you'd like to make a request under any of the rights above, write to juliia@kinstories.ch.
